CoEpower 150A Wall Mounted Active Power Filter Harmonic Control Project for People’s Court

CoEpower 150A Wall Mounted Active Power Filter Harmonic Control Project Background:

Preliminary power quality tests showed that there were a large number of current harmonics in the People’s Court No. 1 transformer and its distribution lines. The current harmonics aggravated the voltage distortion, causing varying degrees of damage to the electrical products used under each transformer.

Harmonic solution:

After detailed analysis and harmonic content, it was finally decided to install an active power filter under the above-mentioned transformer, mainly to control the third and above harmonics contained in the system.

Equipment Selection: Active Power Filter (APF)

Equipment model: CoEpo APF/150A-0.4-W

Installation capacity:150A

Installation method: Wall Mounted

Effect:

It can be seen from the current harmonic distortion rate that after the filter is put into use, the grid current distortion rate is reduced from 13.7%, 17.7%, and 11.8% to 2.0%, 2.7%, and 2.4%; the 5th harmonic of the current is reduced from 41.8A to 3.6A, the 7th harmonic is reduced from 18.4 to 2.1A, the 9th harmonic is reduced from 16.8 to 5.7A, and the 11th harmonic is reduced from 7.8 to 1.6A; the 3rd harmonic of the neutral line is reduced from 112.8A to 6.2A; the total current of the N line is reduced from 157 to 81.4A. Reduce the heating of the N line and save energy. It can be seen that the investment in the active power filter has greatly suppressed the harmonic current and distortion.
